The 18th annual Walk for Warmth is a voluntary effort on the part of area citizens, who gather pledges and walk a predetermined one-mile route. The funds raised by the event assist Thumb area residents with fuel and utility emergencies. Those assisted in the past include seniors, the handicapped and the ‘working poor”.
